Just wanted to let you know I whistled in my first fox on Saturday, after giving Ron a call a few weeks ago for some tips. Have been trying to do this on and off for years without success. Spotted the foxes lying up in the grass 590m away, they were on full alert and looking at me. I slowly went to ground (was in ASAT camo) and slithered under the nearest tree. Gave the whistle a blow and fox no.1 took off in the opposite direction at light speed. The second fox just sat there not paying me any attention. I continued to blow a husky, rasping sound for 10 mins, she looked at me but was content with her sunny patch. Getting frustrated I blew a few really high pitched brassy squeals and she was instantly up on her feet, trotting down the hill. I caught sight of her again on the opposite bank of a small creek about 50m away. She sat there and cocked her head, looking at me.

Hi Ron I would just like to share with you how we have found the performance of your Silva Fox Whistle’s against “Basil” as he is known to us, which we have been using for some time ourselves and also sell in our Hunting and Fishing Store. I myself as we have discussed have always been an avid Fox shooter and have always enjoyed the challenge of snaring these cunning Critters, especially when it takes quite a bit of patience and technique to get them within range to dispatch them. I like many other Australian’s have used the Old Button Fox whistle for years, however since using the Silva Fox Whistle the poor old Button Whistle doesn’t get much of a run these days. Towards the end of 2013 I had shot approximately 280 Foxes for the year,

Letter to Sporting Shooter Mag Editior (Marcus O’Dean) relating to an article in May Issue ‘Think Like A Fox’, relating to Fox Whistling and Predator Calls where he refers to the ‘Silva Fox Whistle’ as the cream of the crop.

Just wanted to share an amazing and very successful weekend. It started on Friday after I purchased your magazine. The cover of the Fox lured me in because just recently and my partner had spooked some foxes on a Bush walk.
